Registration

Registration for the 25-26 school year will open up on January 15, 2025. You must live in Morristown or Morris Township to apply and your child must be 3 or 4 by October 1, 2025. Placements are based on availability and a lottery may be done if we receive more applicants than there are spots.

In person registration dates will be held at Lafayette Learning Center located at 31 Hazel St. Morristown, NJ. The dates are below. Registration  to come in-person to register is not required. Please bring with all the required registration documentation listed below. 

  • January 17, 3:30-6:30
  • January 24, 4:00-7:00
  • Feb. 5, 4:00-7:00

Registration for School Year 24-25 is still open. You may still apply and if spots are available, you will receive an email with further instructions to complete registration.

Below is the link to register your child for the 2024-25 school year. If your child is 3 or 4 by October 1, 2024 and you reside in Morristown or Morris Township, use the link below to register. Once you register, you will then receive an email from the msd.prekregistrar@msdk12.net with further instructions if spots are available.

Our high-quality preschool program is provided for resident families. This is a state grant funded program with limited seats, so if selected, your family will be offered free preschool at our in-district or partner preschool locations. Placement locations will be determined by the District. The following requirements must be met:

  • Students must  have attained the age of 3 or 4 years old on or before October 1, 2024.
  • Parents or legal guardians must reside in Morristown or Morris Township and prove residency. 
  • Once you fill out the registration form below, it will be reviewed by the registrar's office. Within a couple of days, you will receive an email with further instructions for completing the registration process.
    • Be ready to provide the following registration documents once contacted via email:
      • Child's birth certificate
      • Parent ID
      • Lease or deed
      • 2 bills
      • Physical within the last year and immunizations

*Please note that the MSD Preschool Program has a strict attendance policy. If your child is absent for 10 consecutive school days for anything other than medical reasons, they may lose their spot.
